Numerous online sources of government
records and public information exist. The research systems
of the major vendors, however, have different strengths and
weaknesses. This section of the CIR teaching Web identifies
major vendors of government records and explains their
differences, strengths and weaknesses. It also reveals other
resources useful in investigative research and provides
information about where to find help.
